Freep is reporting that filming of Salvation Boulevard now is finished in Detroit.

“Salvation Boulevard” is saying good-bye to metro Detroit.

The comedic thriller starring Pierce Brosnan of James Bond fame wrapped filming Thursday. It’s expected to hit theaters next year.

The entire movie was filmed here, producer Cathy Schulman says. Scenes were shot in Milford, Livonia, Novi, Wixom, Brighton, Dearborn, Plymouth, Ann Arbor, Trenton and Grosse Pointe.

“And surprisingly to me, we were able to find every location we desired within an hour-and-a-half radius,” says Schulman, who’s also president of Mandalay Pictures.

The film’s cast — Greg Kinnear, Ed Harris, Jennifer Connelly and Marisa Tomei — gave local residents a chance for impressive star sightings.

“I think people have been excited and surprised wherever we’ve been, particularly to run into actors of this caliber, and often to see 007 walking out of a building or restaurant,” says Schulman.

Annarbor reports the filming location for Salvation Boulevard and also that it will be a closed set. Hopefully some set pictures will be able to slip through anyway, I really want to see new pictures of Jennifer!

“Salvation Boulevard” — a feature film starring Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Marisa Tomei, Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris and Jim Gaffigan — is shooting in Rackham Auditorium today and is expected to continue working around town for the next week.

At around noon, two actor stand-ins stood at podiums on Rackham’s stage, as if engaged in a debate, and a third sat at a table between them, while crew members set up lighting for the scene. Dozens of extras were herded into the auditorium — at which point I was escorted out.

Yes, “Salvation” has a closed set, so curious film fans and stargazers will be turned away at the door (though I did steal a quick glimpse of Gaffigan standing in Rackham’s lobby).

“Salvation,” which is also filming in the Detroit area, tells the story of a former Deadhead-turned-born-again-Christian who finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his mega-church. Its Internet Movie DataBase entry describes it as a comedy/thriller. The director is George Ratliff of “Joshua” and “Hell House.”

Flix 66 are reporting about a new project for Jennifer called Cheaters. Read more about the movie and Jennifer’s role below.

It’s being reported that the lovely Jennifer Connelly has been offered a role in the upcoming, untitled comedy from Ron Howard that everyone seems to be calling CHEATERS. The film already stars Vince Vaughn, Kevin James and Winona Ryder. The film is about a man (Vaughn) that catches his best friend’s (James) wife (Ryder) cheating on him and finds himself torn about whether or not he should confront the situation. Connelly would play Vaughn’s wife/girlfriend.

This would mark the second time Connelly has worked with Ron Howard and his producing partner Brian Grazer. She previously starred in the most overrated film of the past 25 years, A BEAUTIFUL MIND. CHEATERS is assembling a great cast and shows a lot of promise. If Connelly does decide to join the film, her addition won’t add many laughs, but she’ll definitely add a lot of talent to the film.
